America is 240 years young today and I spent the weekend in our nation's oldest national park, Yosemite. Trees and mountains and water and clear blue skies felt so good. The scale of every waterfall, granite mountain face, and old-growth Sequoia left me feeling very small and insignificant. Which, I find, is always good for perspective and helps quiet the mind a bit.
I'll leave you with a quote from a bad-ass lady who also happened to be married to America's second president. If you don't know Abigail Adams, I recommend you read up.
